about

The is the b-side to the "Take This Torch" 7". Also recorded at the end of the "In Ruin" session in 2014. We were jamming this one in between working on new songs. Ian on vocals, recorded in our rehearsal space later on.

We played BroFest in Newcastle in 2014, which also had Atomkraft on the bill. We saw Mantas from Venom backstage and introduced ourselves. He was playing guitar on a few Atomkraft songs that night, so Myles asked him if he'd want to come up and sing backing vocals on Die Hard with us. He replied "Even better, I'll play fucking guitar!"

Mantas was waiting side stage for most of the show waiting for us to play Die Hard. Jason always does this thing on stage where he asks the crowd "Have we got any [insert band name] fans here tonight?"
Then when the crowd thinks we're going to play a cover song, he says "Cool, me too" and then we'd go into a Cauldron song. We'd have people coming up to us later complimenting the Anvil or Killer Dwarfs song we played, even though it was an original. Anyway, Jason said "Have we got any Venom fans here tonight?" and as the crowd was hooting we went into a Cauldron song. Unfortunately Mantas took that as his cue and ran up onstage to much confusion from him and the crowd. We finally got it right though, and he was a good sport. Hilarious guy.

Jason Decay: Bass
Ian Chains: Guitar/Vocals
Myles Deck: Drums/Backing Vocals
