about

Recorded in May 2008 during the "Chained to the NIte" sessions at Chemical Sound in Toronto. Probably had an extra hour of studio time at the end of the last day and decided to lay this down. Recorded by Ian Blurton, this version was never properly mixed but is something that we were working on before we signed with Earache and they spent more money remixing everything than we did recording it... We'd been jamming this in our rehearsal space for a while along with Omen's "Deathrider" and Nasty Savage's "Metal Knights". We gave Steelrider the option of which of the 3 he would like to record and he chose this one.

Mark the Shark from Manilla Road actually heard this cover somehow and left this comment on one of our videos 5 years ago:
"I first became aware of this band because they did a cover of my song Necropolis. I was totally impressed with the version of Necropolis that they did. Maybe the best cover version of the song I have ever heard. Been following these guys since and am still impressed. Really liking this video also. I am now a Cauldron fan for life. Keep it up boys and Up The Hammers.

Shark / Manilla Road"

We were pretty chuffed to read that. RIP Shark!

Jason Decay: Bass/Vocals
Ian Chains: Guitar
Steelrider: Drums
